I'm going to be upgrading SOM's server later on today, so there may be roughly 5 - 10mins downtime.

On another note, Suelake.com has moved to a VPS (Thanks Adammm) - so you should now be able to load the site (No more DNS issues) and you can load the DCRS within FireFox or any browser of your choice :-)!

I'd like to thank JordZ for hosting us temporarily while we were waiting for the VPS to transfer nodes.

That's right. Blunk is now live for you all to enjoy. There are _bugs_ (Yes, there are.) but logs will show us what requires fixing and such. If you do come across a bug, please post it in the comments of the blog post.

On another note: You can only load the client in IE for the time being, as the host we are currently on has a misconfigured server, so the DCRS will _not_ load in FF!
Another note to MAC users: Encoding hasn't been fixed in this revision, so you will _not_ be able to login!

Getting BETA access allowed me to explore the BETA client purely for reverse engineering possibilities. The results proved more successful than I thought.

Upon exploring the client (No - I didn't decompile it. Decompiling doesn't give you some of the stuff I've found) I found some core XML files. One of them being the incoming and outgoing message responses (Retro programmers are going to love me for this). I'm pretty sure the ID's to each message still denotes the decoded B64 value. It also lists all classes related to each packet ID - something thats useful when calling these classes from 3rd party applications become apparent. I also found some manifest and layout XML files, which are just there to show you how Habbo handles their interface/draws their interface. It seems they've gone for a full XML solution this time. I also found a configuration manifest - not entirely useful but every little helps.

http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/Message_Response.txt -> The message response list.
http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/code1.txt -> Some obfuscated code
http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/code2.txt -> Some more obfuscated code
http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/code3.txt -> Even more obfuscated code
http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/configuration_manifest.txt -> The configuration manifest file
http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/friend_list_manifest_example.txt -> The friends list manifest
http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta/interface_template_example.txt -> An example of how a template is constructed with XML

Or for a directory listing: http://script-o-matic.net/habbo_beta

As for the encryption on the new BETA client, i'll go into the details of that another time ^_^

(Credits to Ben for the BETA account)

So, I got access to the new BETA last night through someones account. First impressions: Not impressed. As I said - when zoomed in on rooms, the environment effectively scrolls as you go to walk off the screen to bring your character back into focus.

Zoomed Out

Zooming in/out is probably one of the only features I like.

Moving on, movement of the actualy character is horrid. I don't know what it is, but the layering of flash just doesn't make the character movement realistic. Its jerky, robotic and the way the layers are presented makes the character effectively look as if it is "gliding" over the floor. Imaging doesn't appear to be so "pixely" as it previously was. For example, walls seem more vectorized (which, look horrid) and the tile hover image is even more nasty.

Walls

I am pretty impressed with how well the catalogue looks though. The layout is efficient, sleek and very attractive to look at. It functions really well too.

Catalouge

I might get a video of the walking movement and such - just to show how crap it really is. There is some nice new features, and I think Sulakes done relatively well with the GFX and such.

EDIT: Bens ban after an owning spree on BETA accounts:

So it was Joshes court verdict today. His punishment was 100hours community service, plus a £350 fine. Still a pretty hefty punishment for haxing habbo in my opinion. It's better than jail though I guess. The courts said he'd of gone to jail; and the fact he wasn't sent to jail was purely because he didn't know what he was doing was illegal and that he showed signs of remorse.

A good result, but still a bad price to pay.

I've bought a new server for SOM. It took a while transfering everything, as well as setting everything up - but I got there in the end. (I hate Bind9 with a passion). Anyway we had a few days of downtime, and within that time BETA stuff has been flying around all over the place. I can't be bothered to post the in's and out's of everything right now, but I'm sure you'd have read it elsewhere anyhow.

Suelake.com is backup by the way - just need to sort out the database and confirm with Nillus when we are going to tie up the loose ends. On another note, its Jeax's verdict tomorrow. So stay tuned for that!

Suelake.com (home of blunk) got taken down by my hosts datacentre last night after receiving a DCMA letter. The following email was FWD to me:

Hello.

We have received a DMCA, regarding material on this server. I have included it, below.

Please review the accusation and contact us, within 24 hours, to let us know when you have taken the cited material offline.

Be advised that, under the DMCA, a counter notification may be filed. A valid counter notification will allow the material to be reactivated. More information on this may be found at:

http://suelake.com is hosted on one of your servers

It contains copyright material of Sulake corporation, including a copy
of the game Habbo Hotel

Thank you,

BurstNET Technologies, Inc.

Suelake.com has only been up for less than a day (I literally uploaded it all yesterday daytime) - and after testing phase 1 Sulake is already on_to_me. Never fear though, i've requested Sulake either contact the datacentre OR me with a digital signed email - just to validate its them. I havn't got an actual copy of what Sulake emailed the datacentre saying, so i'm looking into getting that too.

On another bad note, it was Josh's court appearence yesterday. His verdict will be given to him next Weds (which is 3rd June). The judge has said he isn't ruling out any custody sentences - a.k.a he could go to jail.

Seems to be bad news after more bad news. Lets hope today isn't so bad.

The past few days Blunk has been tested by most of the general scripting community. If you were lucky enough to get on, you got an insight of how smooth, complete and stable Blunk was. A number of bugs have popped up, and will be addressed accordingly! We all had a laugh, and i've added some screenshots of some of the "events" that took place whilst testing was being carried out.

Blunk Screenshot Folder

Suelake.com is back up for those of you that wondered. However, the testing server is no longer online - so don't try to login/register! In other news, it was Jeax's court date today - i'm unsure of what the verdict was because I havn't heard from him. Will keep you guys updated.

Time to let you guys know of some updates regarding SOM, and any other side-projects that were in development.

First off, Me and Nillus are going to finish up Blunk within the next few days - so it's ready for public testing! We've got a few features to finish off, as well as fixing mac-related stuff. (If you're a mac user - please contact us for early testing! mikeisere@gmail.com!) I'm currently setting up servers and migrating files and such - so suelake.com will be up relatively soon.

Habbos new BETA dcrs havn't been leaked yet - for a very good reason. The full BETA release isn't even in action yet - but all approved users can still see the BETA sign-in logo as well as load the BETA client DCRS. But, apparently everythings relatively the same at the moment (Or so what i've found out so far.) All I know is that the DCRS are located on Sulakes "stage"/"testing" server - something we all assumed. The URL follows the same similar pattern, except obviously the hash changes upon each new release.

  • http:// images.stage.varoke.net/dcr/[dcrs]/habbo.dcr
  • The BETA login image

    Thats all for now! ^_^
